Welcome to our blog!

I have decided to start a blog as a way to keep the people we love up to date on what is happening in our lives. Really, it's a way for me to keep friends and family in the loop on what is going on with our son, Maddox. Being that everyone is scattered all over the place, I felt that this might be the best way. I will try to keep things as up to date as possible. Feel free to visit, leave comments or completely ignore it. Enjoy!

9mth Pictures

We took Maddox to get his 9mth pictures taken at Portrait Innovations. I made an appointment way ahead of time and we showed up the requested 15mins early only to be told they were running 1hr behind. So after waiting for an eternity, with my fingers crossed that Maddox's mood would hold, we were up. Maddox did so well...I couldn't believe it. He was in a great mood and the photographer got off 60 shots in about 10mins flat. It was amazing. The ones below are my favorites. They are also in our Maddox Pictures Month 10 link on the right of the screen. Enjoy!

What a month!

I can't believe it's been a month since I posted last...so much for constant updates :). A lot has been going on this month. We started with a visit to see Gail and Brendan for the first time (Maddox's first time, not mine) since Brendan turned 2mths old. It was a lot of fun to get our little guys together. Brendan was so adorable, just looking around wide eyed at the terror called Maddox. It's hard to believe that Maddox was that small once. We have since gotten our boys together a couple more times and I think they'll end up being wonderful friends, although truth be told I don't think they'll have a choice ;). It's funny how we as parents decide that our babies will be the best of friends...hahaha!

We've also been getting together with the Davis' and Callis' throughout the month. It's almost becoming a Sunday afternoon tradition for all of us to meet at Wild Wing Cafe. The boys are so cute...all our little M's...since it's Maddox, Mitchell and Miller. It's so wonderful to have friends that all have kids around the same age. Unfortunately, we were all pretty slack in the camera department, so we don't have any pictures, but take my word...the boys are pretty cute. I will say that Wild Wing is such a great place to bring children. The food is great (you can't go wrong with wings in my opinion), there is plenty of ambient noise from all the tv's (so when the kids get unhappy no one notices), and the staff is great.

Our other big event over the past month was Maddox's first Easter. It was a great weekend for us also, since Stefan became a Catholic too. My parents flew in for the occasion and got to spend some quality time with Maddox and Stefan (and me too!). We really enjoyed having them, especially Nelson. I think Nana is Nelson's favorite person in the whole wide world since she takes him on so many walks. She really loves spoiling her "granddog". Anyway, Stefan's Baptism/Confirmation/First Communion mass on Easter Eve was pretty long, but Maddox got through it like a champ. It didn't hurt to have Grandma, Nana and Granddad there to help when he got squirmy. We then had a great Easter Sunday with Nana, Granddad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Staci and Uncle Jason over for dinner at our house. I roasted a turkey (with a lot of help from Stefan and my mom) and all the food turned out great. Maddox got his first taste of turkey, although the jury's still out on how much he liked it. We'll see, I guess.

That Monday, we decided to take Maddox to the GA Aquarium. As you can see from the pictures, it was a lot of fun and I think Maddox really enjoyed it. I was a little worried he wouldn't get anything out of it, but he really seemed to like it.

We ended the month on a very happy note with the birth of a new Silverman. Aunt Staci and Uncle Jason have a new nephew, Scott Silverman, who was born on March 21st. He is adorable and doing great along with big brother, Frankie. We attended the Bris and luncheon, which were both really nice. It was great to get Maddox and Frankie together, although they were both pretty worn out :).

Our last big news of the month is that Maddox attempted to take his first step the other day. He's been more and more comfortable standing on his own and actually tried to take an unassisted step towards me. He fell, so I don't think it counts as an actual step, but I think he'll definitely be walking before I know it. I'm actually kind of excited since he's getting awfully heavy to carry around :).

That's about it for this month. I'm sure the coming month will be hectic as always as we start making plans for Maddox's First Birthday (OMG, I can't believe it)...
